Their ceremony was intimate and raw, set against a backdrop of golden grasses and ancient trees, with the sounds of the wild carrying their vows into the wind. It was a moment of pure authenticity—no frills, just love, nature, and the people who mean the most to them.

But this wedding wasn’t just about two people; it was about resilience, too. Ash’s mother, who had suffered a heart attack just two weeks before the big day, defied all odds to be there, proving that nothing—not even life’s toughest battles—could keep her from witnessing her daughter’s happiest moment.

A Reception Under the Stars

As the sun dipped below the horizon, guests were treated to an unforgettable game drive during canapé hour. And in true safari magic, they witnessed a once-in-a-lifetime moment—a cheetah making her first kill right before their eyes. Nature has its own way of making an entrance!

The reception, held at The Founders Lodge, was bathed in the soft glow of lanterns, with the vast African sky twinkling overhead. A café latte color palette set the tone for a nostalgic, elegant atmosphere that mirrored the couple’s laidback yet sophisticated style. Laughter, heartfelt speeches, and the sounds of the wild filled the air.

And speaking of the wild—one very special, unexpected guest made an appearance during the speeches: a baby wildebeest from the local reserve! It was as if nature itself had come to celebrate with them.
